Tasty plant Scorpion with much hot peppers

Scorpion

The Trinidad Scorpion “Butch T” (Capsicum Chinense) is a hot chili pepper cultivar of the Scorpion pepper, which is believed to be native to Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean. This cultivar of the pepper was developed by Butch Taylor, a hot pepper enthusiast from Mississippi, and then proliferated worldwide due to its heat levels and fruity taste.

The pepper is meaty and zesty, with a bulbous shape, and a little tail coming off the end (hence the name). It briefly held the Guinness World record for the hottest pepper in the world before being knocked off by our hardest hitter, the Carolina Reaper.

We carry Scorpion peppers in many presentations. Need ideas for your hot food product? Contact us to discuss the possibilities.
