Three delicious Carolina Reaper hot peppers

Carolina Reaper

The Carolina Reaper, originally named the HP22B, is a cultivar of the Capsicum chinense plant, and it was bred by Smokin´ Ed Currie of the Puckerbutt Pepper Company. The hot chili pepper is gnarled and bumpy, with a small, sharp tail. Since 2013, it holds the Guinness World record for the hottest pepper in the world.

Believe it or not, despite the incredible heat, Carolina Reaper was bred to be sweet, which it is. This makes it one of the most flavorful of the super-hot peppers. It is incredibly aromatic, and the high amount of heat just enhances other flavors in your clients’ meals (once diluted, of course).
